now there's a differend and potentially difficult project. OK, same thing as you in my Explorer...intermittent in my Expy. The control for the intermittent rear wiper in the Expy in on the turn signal multifunction switch. Try calling a dealer and asking if one would work in there.

I remember years ago, when intermittent wipers were just coming out, there were aftermarket intermittent addons available. It should just be a variable timer circuit in series down from the switch. Having said that, I took a moment to do a quick search on Ebay and JC Whitney and I didn't find anything for the explorer rear wiper.
