LOL Id be last place!!! but im in the 13 second club.... but wait all L's are stock... Supposed to run 13.9 stock and its a miracle if you can at Thunder Valley...
Well, I've actually heard of stock L's turning 13.7's, but on VERY cold days. All high h/p & tq. (supercharged) vehicles run best in cold weather... but the L seems to be the most sensitive to weather conditions. Cold and dry, that's what Big Red likes.
Well, don't misunderstand, I'm not at all calling you a liar, but I've only seen a few L's dip into the 12's and that was with about 1.2k in mods and an EXTREMELY cold night. So how many lbs of boost are you running then?
STan
15 1/2. lbs of boost. nope only about $500 in mods. It ran a 13.4 stock.
15.5#'s of boost? wow... and on the stock blower, it's a wonder she hasn't sheared yet! I've never heard of anybody running so much boost through the stock blower, I didn't think the insides could handle the RPM.

I think the inside of the eaton can handle almost any rpm, but the higher the rpm the less efficient it becomes (the heat buildup is a lot more). That is one of the reasons the Kenne Bell or the Worxs can make more HP at lower rpm and boost, the effiecency. I think the big thing is the tune, if you run a hot tune, but all the ratio's are correct everything should run along good. Might not be a great idea to do many 150mph blast for prolong'd periods on the stock heads though. What year is your L again? 99 or 00 ?
Well, heat (efficiency) has always been a problem with a roots style blower, hence why it's always better to go w/ a centrifugal style blower because they don't put out NEAR the heat of a roots. Roots just has way too many moving parts.
