Why AUTO is best?
You can take it from someone who lives in a country where about 80+% of cars are equipped with manual transmissions. I actually learned to drive with stick shift. Yet, back in 1996 when I bought my first car, and since I always wanted to have an A/T I got one and as I got used to it, started loving it so that I never looked back. All my cars ever since have been automatic, including of course my present car: 1992 Bronco. C-6 tranny is pretty good and reliable... maybe slower and less mpgs but otherwise great!

I love the automatic for LA traffic and crawling off road, but I hate it driving up and down this mountain that I live on, where an extra gear ratio would be great and the automatic "hunts" for the right gear. I would also rather buy a $300 clutch every 100,000 or so instead of a $2000 E4OD.
