Hi all. I have a problem with my windshield wipers - when the **** is in intermittent they run on low (no delay). Anyone encounter this before or know what might be causing this? The truck is an 88 F250 diesel.
Solved my own problem - took the black module that plugs in inline with the wiper switch apart and found a bad solder connection on the big capacitor in there. I resoldered it and it works! I hope this helps anyone else with this issue.
While I'm here, something really annoying on my '91 is that when
the wipers are set on intermittent, they "pause" right in the middle
of the swing, right in your view, not while low like they should.
Any ideas?
This particular wiper system is "primitive". If I turn it
off mid-swing, it just stops there. I have to time it, so that
I turn it off exactly at the bottom of the swing. I wouldn't
expect something like that on a '91....
