vibration and slow pickup

my 02 explorer when idleing shakes alot and i have slow pickup off the line.last week i changed the pluges and cleaned my k&n fipk filter i thought maybe the oil got in the throttle position sensor so i cleaned it still no better what could it be ?

Although the plugs and wires are supposed to last, mine did the same thing. I had a bad wire. I changed all the plugs and wires and was good to go. Mine is a 97 with a 5.0. There were three dirrerent wire sets for that vehicle, all slightly different. And there was no room to work. It can be done. Do you have an inline fuel filter? Might change it if you do. Good luck with it.

If your K&N contaminated anything it would be the MAF sensor. If you dont want to pull the trouble codes yourself, Autozone will do it.

k&n air filters are bad about contaminating maf sensors. I would probably start there. I have replaced a lot of contaminated maf sensors because of those filters.
