gas cap indicator light
Can anyone tell me what is up with my truck 02 f150 4.6.
The gas cap light is on even though the cap is on properly. Does it need to be hooked to a scannner to clear the code?

The light you describe does not exclusively signal a loose gas cap. Might be indicative of a problem with the ignition/emission control system.

Thanks Paul, i guess its time to go to the dealer as I also have a Po401 code and service engine soon light.
