Aftermarket amplifier with factory stereo

Has anyone hooked up an amp to the factory stereo? I'm sure there is a way to do it, but I can't get it to work. I figured out the wiring schematic, and it works fine without the amp, but there must be a floating ground or something.

I put a good Pioneer deck in my 'star and I want to use the stereo out of the 'star in another vehicle.

I'll give that a shot. It works fine in my Eagle, but it just doesn't have that extra little kick, if you know what I mean. I have a small amp left over from another vehicle, I just thought I'd give it a try.

For a factory radio, it's not bad. I'm surprised at the sensitivity of the radio tuner, it picks up even remote stations fairly well.
