427or428?????

For a street engine the 428 rules. For a race only motor the 427 is the way to go. In factory trim the 428CJ's made as much horsepower as a factory 427. I saw the results on a dyno between a '66 Fairlane 427 single 4 barrel, 4.11 rearend and a '69 Ford Cobra (Fairlane body) 428CJ with 4.30 rearend and the rear wheel hp was close enough that you couldn't tell the difference except for the torque curve, which was all 428.

I had the honer of setting in a xb falcon an exact replica of the mad maxcar and I do mean exact replica. This car had the 351c, righthand drive etc... The only bad part of the car is that I am 5foot10.5inches tall 220pounds with big shoulders, and it was all I could do to get in and out of the car, those down under people must be a bit smaller. When I did get in to the car it was very cramped inside for me. I may have to abandon this project. But thanks for all the help.
,but still one sweet ride never the less.
