The new style 99 and up, I have an 03 F-350. When it is raining or damp outside I like to have my window cracked open most of the time. Problem is I take a bath and so do the window switches when I come to a stop or turn right.
I have had vent shades on other trucks and I did not care to put them on my 03, anyone have another idea like the old drip rails they use to have on the older trucks.
I don't know if the clip-in visor company is still in business. It was a good idea but they like to come out on occasion. There is a place in Little Rock, Ar. called pickup truck warehouse that handles them. I don't remember the brand name--they were not a very popular item for reliability issues.
Got sorta the same issue, leave the window open a crack and when moving the water comes thru at the bottom edge of the vent shade and the top of the mirror housing. Appears the water I get comes thru the gap between the mirror housing and the door frame. Got to get some sealant in there, that should stop it.
WOOOOO MAMMM!!! those are nice looking. They finally got rid of the old 80's look to them. I'll let ya'll know how I like them when I get them in the mail( I had to order them, couldn't resist, I hate the shower myself, but I love my fresh air too much), course I'll have to wait till it rains again, that might take a couple months..
I've had them for 6 years now & they haven't faded or cracked in the So. Cal. sun. They have a very fine lip & fit in the existing window channel. No tape, clips, etc. I go off road with them & they just stay there.. Lets me keep the window rolled down about 2" and most importantly, keeps the dew or water off my arm
Good Luck, Maybe the Deer Gods will look upon me w/ favor now
