Mild shock suggestion

I'v had a long and for the most part good relationship with my 1988 BII. The OEM shocks that came with the truck were awful. I replaced them with Monroe Sena-Track and they were an improvement, but were a little stiff for offroad used. Let me say that my offroad consists of wood trails, mud, hills, and gravel pits. (Atica Badlands, and Haspin Acres in Indiana).

I just truned 45 yesterday and cant take the abuse like I used to, so after 7 years on the truck the Sena-Tracs had to go. I called up the local parts store and found some inexpensive Monroe Gas-Matics for about $15 a wheel. They are a nice yellow color and contrast nicely with the red truck. Best of all they soak up bumps and wash board better than the others ever did. I did some nice General Lee turns on a gravel road in 2 nd gear, no wheel hop . General road feel was blessed by the wife who noticed with out me even prompting her. So if your truck has seen better days and dosn't warrant $50 shocks, you may want to try these. I really havn't tried any of the monster hills at Atica with the new shocks, but I'm hoping the wheel hop is lessened. LOL
