Aerostar engine in Bronco?

Aerostar engine in Bronco?
Does anyone know if the 3.0 Aerostar engine is set up the same as the Bronco or Ranger 2.8 or 2.9? How about using the 3.0 short block with the heads, intake and ecu from Bronco or Ranger?

I believe the bellhousing pattern for the 3.0 is different than the 2.8/9.I have been researching swapping in an SHO 3.0 and folks say I'll need the tranny out of a 3.0 Ranger.But for the hassle of engine swap,unless you have the van 3.0 handy,and nominal power gain with a mortal 3.0,go with a 4.0 or a 302,3.8 from a taurus/thunderbird may be an option or a turbocoupe L4 may be an interesting bolt in.I am pretty sure that all of the above engines will bolt in with at most a tranny,rad,driveshaft swap
