component speakers

has anyone here instaled component speakers in the front doors of their f-150. Just wondering how easy they would be to instal and where would be the best place to mount the speakers?

what year f-150? in my 92 i had alot of success with the tweeters on the a pillar about 6" up firing into the winshield. it had fairly good imaging, stage height, and depth. on my 99, i have the tweets mounted right behind the rear view mirrors and the imaging is almost perfect.

i would mount them in the door panels right behind the side mirrors.

I put JLAudio coaxials in the doors (replacing the stock speakers) and installed Q Pods for Boston Acoustic components. They replace the stock kickpanels. It gives a good sound and was easy to do. It helps to give the truck a "concert" sound because you can hear music in front of you. BTW I have a 97 f150 extended cab.
