My little truck have been leaking oil for a while, I believe it's from the valve cover gaskets. After driving it for 5 minutes, the smoke is always visible, (coming from the under the hood, not big deal). Now, today I notice that the smoke was more visible than usual and I smell it even from the inside while I was driving. I open the hood and notice that a large amount of smoke was coming from a single piece (see the pict). What is that piece? is it something to be worry about?
Thank you
JC
p.s. The smoke only comes from the engine, no from the muffler's tail pipe.
Kind of hard to tell from the pictures, but that looks like the place where the EGR tube connects to the exhaust manifold. Is that right? If so, is the EGR tube in place (can't tell from the picture)? Is the smoke coming from oil burning off of the surface of that part, or is it exhaust fumes escaping from the exhaust?

I had the same problem. You need new valve cover gaskets.
