Well like it says im getting 2 76 4 wheel drive trucks this sunday! Both have 400cid motors in them... One is blue and white and comes with a rebuilt tranny, a 205 NP transfer case, 3" factory lift and a 3" body lift! Also comes with some wagon wheels with 38x12.5s! and then other one is green and white comes a tranny and transfer case also! Im going to bring both of them down here sunday and start working on the blue and white one. I will be getting a 6" lift and leaving the 3" body lift on it, and puttin the 38's on there too! Im also pulling the 400 out and putting my 460 in it with the rbuilt tranny and the transfer case. I have a few more plans for this truck too! i will have pics up in my gallery sunday or monday! so check it out! also im only giving 800 and some labor for these trucks. Labor as in helping them get some of there junkers running. What do ya think??
I'm currently taking a mint body off of a 78 Ranger XLT, and putting it on my 76 F250 4x4.. Mine will only be running the 300 six while I build my long term engine, but otherwise this unit will be a clean and solid runner in about a week.
You should get some pics in your gallery, I'm taking tons of mine, but am too involved in the project right now to sort em all!.. i certainly will do so eventually.
The PC's in the garage now, broadband and all, and I'm making it an integral part of the process as I inventory everything down to fasteners... wild trip!! I feel like monster garage in the sense that I'm trying to do this in a short time span.
Good luck with your project, I know the feeling! A 460 will move your unit admirably.. Keep us all posted!
sounds like a good deal to me! i have a 79 with a 300 c it's my daily fixer-uper i mean driver i dont have the money or time to do a complete rebuild rite now. so i do a little at a time. but good luck with yours.
Well thanks you guys for the comments and all that. I cant wait to get these trucks! im ready! But as soon as i get them i will take pics and post them in my gallery so check there sunday or monday and i should have them on there! thanks again and i will keep u posted. Also good luck with yalls projects too!
I have a 75 Highboy, and currently transfering the body from a F150 XLT ranger as well. Taking a while though, however looking forward to the results. Good luck with your projects, and post those pictures...
That is the one im keeping. It has a 3" body lift with the 3" stock lift... and yes those are the 38's. Im pulling the front clip off and pulling the 400 that is in it out. Ill be putting my 460 and my 79 front clip on it. I will also be buying a 6" lift for it soon! But the other one i got is green and white... the body is all junk... so im scraping the body and keeping the frame and all the other good stuff. I have another truck that has a good body and stuff im going to put on that frame with new tires and a rebuilt motor and stuff... then i will sell it. But i will have some pics in my gallery soon. Im hoping to have my truck(one pictured above) running buy the weekend. So keep checking back!!
