instrument cluster
i´m new on this board, and this is my first post, so the first i would say is:
HELLO !

I hope you understand my english, because i´m from Germany.... so sorry for my mistakes .
I´ve buyed a F-250 from 1992, it was sold from the US Airforce from Rammstein. But there is one big problem : i have no instrument cluster ! And the german safety inspection, called "TUEV" is not very happy about the missing part, so i may not drive
! Now i´ve found something on Ebay.com but i don´t know which part fits really. E.g. a part of the 1990 ? or one from the Ranger 1992 ? ? ?
Please help me !!!! i need to drive the car !
Thanks Andy !

There are many cluster choices too.
with, without automatic shift indicator.
with, without gasoline tachometer
with, without diesel tachometer
english and metric (Canada).
All of the clusters are interchangable, just that they look different. The units with the gasoline tachometer goes to a higher RPM than the diesel tachometer, but it will still give you the idea if you must have a tach if you use the wrong cluster for your engine.
If you have a manual, the automatic gear shift indicator can be easily removed with two screws, and tossed, no problem there, or just left there and not hooked up. Its only an indicator, so if its not working right it doesn't matter.
English, or Metric, well, that depends on which system your country uses, MPH or K/M
thanks,
i think with these informations i would find my instrument cluster...
If there are any other problems i would tell you
. Nice forum, friendly members !
