paint removal

whats the best (easiest) way to remove all the paint and crud for bodywork.

If you want to remove everything & go to bare metal, then find yourself a good can of paint stripper.

I would avoid paint stripper unless you absolutely have to. The factory primer is usually good stuff.

If Your Doing B/w You Have To Get To Bare Metal.aircraft Paint Striper Works Great But Use Agood Resporator Fumes Are Real Bad. Can Get Striper At Most Auto Paint Houses.

One has already suggested Aircraft Paint Stripper and I agree. I also have used a rubber wheel in my drill motor which works great. This takes it all the way down to bear metal, even through the factory primer. If there is bondo present be aware, this will go through that also.

In order of my preference....

1) Sand off the old paint
2) Media blast off the old paint.
3) Chemical strip the old paint.

Of course, my real preference would be to dip the body but I don't have a basket full of extra money laying around.
