Welcome to FTE!
Does your truck have headers?
Have you replaced the starter relay as well?
There's an Electrical forum here at FTE. Franklin2 often posts diagrams of test points with lots of info to get you fixed up.
Put in a post on the electrical forum with some details like lifespan of replacement starters, etc.,etc.

Just a thought, if there was a short in the ignition switch it might be feeding power to the small wire that goes to the starter relay.
Disconnect the small wire on the starter relay. Turn the ignition to the run (on) position. Use a test light to see if the small wire has power. There should only be power there when the ignition is turned to start.

What has been your routine to get it to stop cranking? Pulling off #1? If so, next time pull off #5. If pulling off #5 does not stop it from cranking, then the starter relay is bad, or you have some large wires crossed up somewhere.
