Newer Ford

Have been gone the past couple of weeks and I when got into town noticed that there is a 92 Ford F-150 4X4 that has been repoed. I know they will wait till they receive at least three bids to judge range and take the highest bidder. It has 176.000 miles and the body is in good shape. The interior is okay and needs small repair work. Know someone that can handle that. It seems to be all original equiptment. What would be a reasonable bid? I know that many on this forum drive such vehicles and have a good idea what they are worth. Am considering this for a vehicle the youngest son could drive going to Tech. school. Any input would be appreciated.

I have bought a couple of vehicles that had been repoed. What I have found is that alot of people that bid on them intend to resell. I usually check retail price, figure what body damage and mechanical repairs are needed what a shop would charge to repair. Deduct repairs from retail price and what would be a good profit say 10% to 15% deduct that, add a couple of hundred bucks and there is your bid.
