new here. my diff. is going out i think
hey guys love the site. i recently bought an 87 f150 in great condition. i drive 50 miles to work and fri while going to lunch i felt a vibration in the pedals and floor. i thought maybe a wheel bearing was bad so i took it to a mechanic a few blocks away to have the (front)bearings changed and a break job. well after leaving the mechanic it was just still there. well i went about 5 blocks at the end of the day and a loud screeching noise was coming from the rear end. i havent had time to look at it being that it is in a grocery store parking lot 49 miles away. what might i expect? how do i interperet the tag to see what gear ratio? i think it might be a 355. what year will interchange with it? thanks guys.
