1st oil change ?

hey guys at what mileage do you recommend the first oil change? I only have 200 miles on her now. I will be also installing a fumoto valve. I live in Rochester ny what brand and viscosity oil do I use for my area? Do you guys change weights of oil between summer and winter or is there just one I can stick with? Thanks in advance. Mike

Just did mine 2 days ago. I run Rottela T. All my diesel friends do too. Im from the Pittsburgh area of PA. Id say 3000 for the first and 5000 therafter. Depending on how many hopups you have will make the oil blacker faster.

I just did my first change and it was at 5000. I switched to mobil truck/suv which is synth 5w-40. It is the same as there delvac 1 which I cannot find in my area. I grew up in PA with the cold winters and now live in DE. I spend a lot of time in the winter in PA and wanted to make sure I had the whole temp range covered from summer to winter with one oil. I have used synth for many years in my gassers and have been very satisfied. It costs more but I believe it is better in the long run. Everyone else I now runs regular delvac.

First Oil Change

I did my first oil change at 4300 miles. The owners manual says 7500 miles for the PSD, the sales person told me 3000 miles and the service dept said 4500 miles.
