Hey there fello blue oval junkies, gotta question.
I have a 4.2 f-150 and with the exception of a k&n filter she's stock. I'm wanting to aquire the diablo delta chip to set it for stock , high octane, then high octane with a shot of nos. Question....how much nos with the setup I have in mind is relativly safe to use? (I obvioulsy know the engine life will be diminished but sacrifices must be made) I wish to shoot the right amount of nos not to blow my engine up whithin a few runs but I don't want to leave any pony unleashed. I am well aware headers, exhaust and a performance fuel pump would be in good order in this project. Then forged pistons ,4.10 rears, electric cooling fans mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm perfomance(insert homer simpson voice) , I digress
If you are wondering about a NOS shot, I'd go no more than a 100 shot kit. 75 would be the safest and most performance for you, but either would work...also, you might need to get a full intake if you are running NOS into the TB. I would suggest getting MAC Intake for $150. That will enhance the NOS's performance.
