So i'm driving along listening to the radio....everything is working fine. I stop to get some gas...and when i turn the car back on...the radio doesnt work. It's a pioneer deck...that has a motorized fold down face..normally, when you turn the car on it will beep and light up..then the face will open. Thats what it did sorta...it beeped turned on...tried to open then shut off..and just kept repeating until i turned the car off. I pulled it out and checked all the connections...everything is fine. I know its something within the radio..at least i think it is...have any of you guys had these sorta issues with a pioneer deck? It's under warranty luckily...but i would rather fix it myself than send it away to the factory for god knows how long. Could it be a fuse somewhere that popped? Eh........I shoulda gone with the Alpine head unit..
i would send it in for repair. pioneer is preety quick on their repairs 3 weeks tops. and they ups it back to ya, but if ya wanna fix it your self pull the cover off the top of it and check the face drive track gears. make sure they are clean. if the face cant go all the way out to the pre set tilt it is set two it wont engage the power to the rest of the deck. just to test it pull real gently on the face and make it tilt all the way out and see if it powers up. if not check the inline fuses and the one on the back of it.
checkfuses like mentioned above also depends where you bought it from if under warranty you may be able to take it back and swap for a new one good luck
