One thing for sure, it makes it very easy to change the belt. I can change the stock one on my 1990 in five minutes, with basically no tools and no need to worry about the tension - and of course that takes care of all of the accessories. Compare that to changing 3-4 regular belts, all of the bolts and nuts to remove and tighten and try to get proper tension on all of the belts. It's a pain in the butt. And sometimes if one breaks you have to take others off to get the new one on.

So if ease of maintenance is one of your concerns, then you might like the serpentine belt. I don't know about other advantages, but the serpentine is basically maintenance free as long as your tensioner is good.

lots of work it seems to me hard to upgrade a M motor.
Only upgrade I can think of is to get a rid of the M motor.
go with a 460 if you want that kind of power M oiling system is not the best.

1: I know Edelbrock and Weiand both manifolds that'll fit a 4bbl. I THINK you can run an AFB style AND a q-jet. You may need a spacer for the q-jet. Try Jeg's.

2: I dont think there's a single belt conversion for a 335 series engine. If there is, give me a link please. I'd like it. And ditto what everyone else said on the belts.

3: There was a draw-through setup for the 335 series to run a single, non intercooled turbo long ago, but no longer. You'll have to fab your own. Like me!
And there is a huge roots style blower just for the 335 series, but I dont have the link any more. I found it via google, though.
