Ex is good for something else
As we prepare for this hurricane in south florida, I have found a new use for the Ex...with its massive size it blocks the whole garage door, creating a great barrier for the wind and any debris that may fly.

Good for what?
I think that I would rather spend the amount of my deductable protecting the garage door and the Excursion. We have a lot of tornados here in Tn-most of the damage here is from hail or debris. I ended up putting old blankets on the roof and hood and then wrapping it with a 20 x12 tarp. So far it has done the job, it's a real hassle trying to get it ready but it has saved me twice from having to file claims.And if you believe an insurance company that will tell that it won't count against you they are lying!After the first big storm here which was 1 year ago this past may I had several pings from hail. I went to the people were I bought my Excursion and negociated a deal with their in house "dent doctor" for less than my deductable.He repaired 3 dents for $90.00 which to me felt pretty good. After that I started using the tarp. I do recomend that you always keep a good coat of wax on your ride-it will help too.
