Brake controller location

I got a 96 F150 supercab and just bought a Hoppy trailer brake controller. My harness plugs into the factory wire under the ashtray. My question is where would the best location be to mount my controller. I never had one before and would appreciate what you guys thought a good location is.....

I have mine mounted right below that little recessed "shelf" to the lower right on the dash.

That is a fourth for me. Look in my gallery at the air bag gauge picture. You can see the controller there too.

Yup that's where I had put mine too. I use that box for a change purse though and I had a Kelsey Hayes pendulum style controller. Sure enough, on some bouncy backroads a quarter must have bounced out of the box and onto the top of the controller where it slid into one of the vent openings. It shorted out my controller. I'd consider it a very freak happening, but still something to be aware of.
