Airostar Fuel Pump Relay Location
Hello,
I have a 1988 Ford Airostar with 180,000 miles with a problem. It starts and runs fine when cold, but as soon as it gets to normal operating temperature it will die. It will not restart until it cools for 5 to 10 minutes. It will then run for a few minutes before dying again. I have read of similar problems on this board.
I have replaced the Fuel pump as well as the filters both on the pump and the inline filter.
I have read the codes with a code reader and get a fuel relay bad message. I cannot find the fuel relay in my Hanes manual and was wondering if anyone here may know where it is located.
I am assuming, if it is not the fuel relay, it is either the TFI on the distributor, or the coil. Does anyone know if I should get a code reading on the computer if the TFI is malfunctioning?
