Sounds like you've narrowed it down to the master switch on the driver side. You should be able to jumper past the passenger portion to feed power to the actual passenger side to test this. However, the master side is essentially a three way switch and requires two jumpers (plus ground) to do this.
A replacement switch runs around $20.00 from fordpartsdirect.com, or at least it was a year ago when replacing mine.
I need some help bad with this window gripe.
Here are the facts: 94 3.0 Xl
-Passenger power window will not operate, driver side ok.
-Pulled the motor out, jump wired it to the battery checks 4.0 both directions(I check that by switching the + and -) back and forth.
-I moved the window up and down freely with ease using the regulator and cross arms.(no binding)
- I have 12V at both switches blue wire.
- I thought it was the Passenger switch, I r&r new one, no luck.
- Removed the passenger switch from the switch block and jumpered a hot lead to the motor thru the harness and a ground. Works great Swithced the leads using the up/down circuits the window goes up and down.
-Pulled the connectors checked for short using a meter, no shorts.
-I pulled the driver switch and tried to jumper power and ground thru the switch block on the driver side like i did the passenger side but I had no luck.
-I think I might have a bad driver side switch but before i drop the extra cash i want to be sure. I am going nuts on this one any, I mean any help on this one would be greatly appreciated.....
I got It. Narrowed it down to the driver side. Peeled back the rubber boot and there it was a broken white wire. Repaired the wire and I am happy to say the window is working great... Thanks for the help. I will be doing my clock spring in the morning......
I have a similar problem with my passenger Window. It's not an electrical problem but a mechanical problem. When I run the Window, the front of the window moves down faster than the rear and as a result the window becomes crooked in the channel and jams. When I raise the window, it straightens out and moves up without a problem. I'm not sure how to solve this problem because none of the manuals I've seen actually address window adjustment/alignment. If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated. It's getting hot out there and only 1 window works
