I have a 92 XL 5SPDOD. When I start it, it sometimes stays on for a period of time. Other instances it may come on during driving. Thanks for any help. I don't know how to read the codes yet. (Gotta learn that.)
The correct thing to do is read the RABS codes, so you need to learn that. Procedure's in most any self-respecting manual. Ken00 has a techinfo post at the top of the BII forum where he's posted the procedure for reading RABS codes. Most of the time, all that is required on the RABS system is to ground a connector to the RABS computer and the RABS light will flash out the codes.
Thanks. I'll look into that. I don't notice anything different about the brakes performance, other than I had toadjust the rears. They seem to be working more positive now.
OBDII came around in 1995... I beleive your'e stuck with OBDI
My rear anti light is on.. along with the e-brake light.. due to having no brake fluid to the rear brakes. My wheel cylinder blew out. Low brake fluid could throw off one of those sensors.
I looked at that, adjusted the rears (they were a little weak) and they perform much more positive now. I also checked the master cylinder for fluid level. Seems OK. The light has not come on again accept when starting.
