aftermarket tachometer wire?

aftermarket tachometer wire?
Alright, I fail to believe that the only way to get an aftermarket tachometer to work on our trucks is with that $90 plus "adapter" for a $30 tachometer! Has anyone figured out if/where the main engine RPM wire is (instead of the individual ones that go to each coil-on-plug)? Thanks.

Mine came from JEGS too....I like where you put the tach. Mine went on the dash right next to the left window post, on velcro but now I might just move it to that useless change holder, yah! Thats the ticket!

That's exactly where I was thinking of putting it, except the column shifter gets right in the lkine of signt for me when in drive, so I'm thinking of switching the headlight switch to the change holder location, and putting the tach. where the headlight switch is. I'll look into the Jegs driver. Thanks.

Yes it is in the way, I found out this AM. The part you need to order from JEGS is made by Autometer. My tach is also an Autometer. Search the Autometer web site then order from JEGS.
