I sold my bronco this evening. The new owner took posession, and I watched it leave my driveway with a tear in my eye. The only good side to this whole situation is that he currently has a bronco... so he knows the value of these rigs. Even though I am now bronco-less, I still plan on staying the BB Moderator (unless you all want me out, then Ill just hang out in the general conversation forum). It was definately good while it lasted.
if your interested i have an 84 bronco that would be a nice project im willin to let go dirt cheap. besides i know your ol bronc would want you to stay with the group and move on. lol
First, yeah stay put brother. 'Cause these guys are right....there will be another one in your future...these things are addictive. BTW, I still have Greystreak's remains if you want a REAL Bronco restoration challenge!
I know how you feel. When I dropped mine off at the shop, I kept looking back like I was leaving my best buddy behind. With all it has gotten me through, it may as well of been my best buddy. And Im getting it back after the restore! Tough to let go of such a cool ride isn't it.
The bronco was sold due to changing vehicle needs. My life has changed, and I had to change accordingly. I hope the new owner appreciates it as much as I did (hurt me to see him light up a cigarette as soon as he picked it up ). It has already been replaced. You can see the new ride here https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=11941 The pictures stink. The color is much richer than shown. I need to take some shots in the daylight (just wanted to get some up on the site tonight). As for restoring a vehicle, I already have one of those on my hands. The 1989 C350 needs a resto bad.
Nice truck! Just think, now you don't have to worry about stuff breaking or falling off your old Bronco! That's half the fun owing an old Bronco! I'll bet you're enjoying the 'ride' of your new 'wheels' along the rutted, concrete paths most of us have to travel every day! Have lot's of fun with the new rig!
...of course, most of us old Bronco owners don't have those 'big-buck' truck payments, though!
I was sad to watch both my early broncos drive off... a 66 and a 73, both great trucks. I should have my head examined for getting rid of them. My brother was the late model bronco owner. He built some nice trucks. He still has one 79 with a snow plow that I get to cruise in when I need to plow.
Rich , hang around your posts and insight to these rooms have been very beneficial to all of us.Sorry TO HEAR THIS and i am sure u knew what ya was a doin.If ya leave i dont think itll be the same . TR
We’re in the same boat, sold mine about a month and a half ago.. The guy I sold mine to also had another bronco. Hmmmm maybe someone is hording all the broncos? I still spend my time in the bronco forum. The new one aint broke and I knew my broncos like the back of my hand. I’m still trying to figure out the spark plugs on this 5.4.
I was lucky enough to get my F10 but still keep the Bronco....kinda. I couldn't bear to let her go so I put her in a friends shop that does hot rod builds, for a ground up restoration. It will take a few months, but at least I will have her back.
