To an extent....
the ones I had on my 02 slide forward as soon as you hit the lever and the upright tilted forward to allow "easier" entry into the third seat....
on my 03 it takes a GRUNT to push them forward...
so I've gone to lifting the seat bottom forward as if I were going to fold them down and allow the thrid row passenger to walk thru the middle to the back...

Grunt to say the least. My kids gave up trying to move it forward. They just go forward of the seat and up the middle, much less hassle.

So do the Rear Captains fold flat like the bench then? Or do they take up more room when folded?

They do fold down like the bench, but have the space in the middle. I am very glad that I got this option as the kids don't fight near as much and they can recline to sleep with their seat belts on.

Is there a trickto unfolding the second row buckets? Everytime I fold mine down, the back of the seat seems to get stuck and I can't unfold them without alot of efforts.
Is this normal? Or is there something I'm not doing to unfold them back into position?

Please help - it drives me nuts!!!

I do it from the ground thru the rear doors without too much effort...
just push the lever on the far right bottom as you push down on the rear lip of the seat back...
it will pivot up for me without too much effort...
(lot less effort than climbing my fat "self" up into the X )

jdadamsjr - Sounds like your refering to the 3rd row seat.

I have problems with the 2nd row - 3rd row works fine.

Oops...

I only have the second row buckets (woudln't call them captains )
and rarely fold mine down...
but the few times I did they worked well and just needed to releae the latch to pull them up...

Mine fold and unfold easily.
Could be a sticky latch.
I do have to hit the release latch, but then they fold back up easily.

I think that 2002 was the first year for this option.

I was afraid of that. I can't afford one that new, so I guess the bench will have to work. Thanks
