Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the headlights?
I need to replace the passenger side light, but having trouble removing the old one? Anyone have pics and instructions?
Also, is there a fix for the DRL (Daytime Running Lights)? Ford had replaced my unit once, but the thing has burned out again. Has everyone else had the same problem?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Jun-02 AT 11:47 AM (EST)]I've had 2 DRL modules go bad, so on my 94 I replaced the daytime running light module with a jumper plug from an Amercian unit. It fits into the same connector as the module. No DRL lights, but my highbeam indicator works like it is supposed to.
I remove the headlight assembly on mine by first removing the turn signal/trim assembly, (2 torx screws and a couple for plastic ones), and then remove the 4 screws that hold the headlight in. I think 94s are a bit different than 90s though, I have the big plastic headlight, not sure if 90 is the same or not.
Do you have the part number for that jumper? I have gone through three DRL modules in the past few years plus five more that I got from the wrecker that turned out to be no good. I would really like to do away with it.
If you are living in Canada, you require Daytime lights on some yrs. Its a 103$ ticket and if you have to get a safety it will not pass. I know when I got posted to another Province they would not pass it. The problem will the modules is it maybe in the wrong spot (heating up), or you have a short from your lights. PS how can I put in a Signature block, I tryed evry thing? I'm not a Computer dumbie but you know things sometimes fail.
Before removing the headlight, it's easiest to remove the grill. Then the corner light, then the headlight. This all is real easy!! but prevents breaking things from haste.
