front end shimmy
I have a 1992 F-150 and the front end is shaking violently at about 45 mph. I have had 2 different shops look at it and both say that they can't find anything wrong witht the truck. Has anyone else had this problem or have an idea of what it might be.

Switch the rear tires and wheels to the front one side at time. Or, put the spare tire on the front left, then the front right. An old Explorer of mine had the same low speed, violent shimmy and it turned out to be a broken steel belt in one of the tires. I also had a couple of tire shops look at the truck and say they were unable to find any problems. If switching the tires does not help, get them all balanced.
