Part of my power mirror control went out the other day. I am unable to get any response from either mirror when I push the switch to the right. All the other directions work fine - up, down and left - for both mirrors. No motor noise when pushing the stick to the right. Figured the problem was in the switch.
I purchase a Haynes repair manual, and followed the trouble-shooting guide (check for power, check for continuity, etc...). Unfortunately, the manual does not include a wiring diagram for the mirrors. I have continuity on some pins when I move the switch to the right - I just don't know if it's between the right pins. Up and Left have continuity on different pins , but Down and Right on both mirrors show the same continuity for all.
Anybody know of a switch diagram so I can accurately check for correct continuity?
Do not have a diagram but my dealer replaced mine at no charge. Mine is a 2001 also and did not work going to the right. They seemed to jump at the switch right off the bat and not even troubleshoot it so maybe there was a common problem Ford had with the switches..
