00 Explorer Interior

Anyone know why I have a hole in the middle console, infront of the CD holder. It looks like an E-Brake handle goes there but it would be in the way of the cups.

Yep thats where the Ebrake would be if the truck was equipped with one in that spot. Instead, its used as a kleenex holder.

The right-hand drives/export models do have a parking brake handle there. I guess Ford made it that way to reduce the parts count.

It does make a good storage compartment.
