oil change question

I have gotten my oil changed 4 times at the dealership since I bought the truck(FX4 5.4). Today when I got it done I checked the oil level and it was at the bottom of the "safe" zone on the dipstick. The three changes before that the oil level was at the top of the "safe" zone. Should I add some oil? If it is not at the top of the "safe" zone doesn't that mean that it is low (or lower than the three previous oil changes at least?)
BTW- I have let the oil settle into the pan before checking it each time.

As long as it is in the safe zone. You do not need to add any. Take a look at the owners manual. It states that as long as it is between the min and max, do not add any. It does not need to be at the full mark.

Check you receipt, I bet they only used 6 quarts instead of 7 quarts, it happened to me on the first oil change. I added 1 qt. and it brought me up to the top of the safe zone. I informed the service manager that they messed up and he agreed.
