I have looked at the pdf link to the 2005 Expedition features... but one thing is not clear... can I get the Nav system, DVD video AND Sirius all at the same time?
If not, I could do the DVD video aftermarket... but would really prefer the Nav system and Sirius be OEM so that they could both take advantage of the steering wheel controls... which I do not believe any aftermarket radios/Sirius can do... am I correct?
Also, I assume the 2005 DVD still has the ceiling flip down screen? I have seen another manufacturer (can't remember who) that is doing a rear center console flip-UP screen... this just seems to make so much more sense... non-distracting to other drivers... does not get in the way of the rear veiw mirror, more comfortable viewing angle for rear seat passengers, etc.
Any info on these options would be greatly appreciated.
I forgot to mention another area that is not clear to me from the specs...
It seems I can only get certain features on the Limited/EB models like cooled seats, etc. But I absolutely hate the limited interior and bottom exterior trim colors on EB/Limited... Is there any way to order with the exact colors I want and still get the EB/Limited "only" features?
I can't say for sure yet on the '05s (still don't have the source books yet), but the Sirius was only available with the CD-6 radio in '04; you couldn't get it with the radio that incorporated the nav system. The DVD is available with either of those 2 radios. I'm 99% sure it would have to be OEM to be compatible with the steering-wheel controls. The DVD is still celing mounted; yes, it does interfere with the driver's rear view, but at least the 3rd-seat occupants can see it, which they wouldn't be able to do if it were part of the console.
Only the EB has a lower tu-tone; the Limited is all one color. The color choices are "limited" to black, shadow gray, pueblo gold and the tri-coat cashmere, but at least it's monochrome. If you don't like those 4 choices, well, it's like my mom says: "you always have 2 choices for dinner......take it or leave it!"
