Hurricane Frances?
If the hurricane comes this way I hope everybody makes it through OK. I am getting ready up here in Folkston, just accross the border up from Jacksonville. If there is a Jacksonville chapter get together I hope to be able to make it, even though I am on the Georgia side!

I have a nasty feeling that its not going to miss us this time. I am already starting preparations. Looks like the new F250 might be getting some serious use.
I'm on the Northside of Jax, right at US1 and just down the road from Folkston.

Here we go again!
This is like a bad reoccuring nightmare! As of right now TWC says entering SE Florida and coming right over Ocala. Charley was predicted to pass right over us too but turned in further south. Ocala is not real ready for this, trees EVERYWHERE that haven't seen any storms in a looong time! I'm heavily treed in my yard and I haven't had the time to cut them back like I need to.
This does not look real good for somebody in the SE!

They have adjusted the track slightly, but have said it will likely be readjusted a few more times. BIggest thing to watch, is the high pressure ridge in the Atlantic. If it starts to weaken, as they suspect it may, then it will come ashore further north, like Daytona/St Augustine/Jacksonville area vs the current shot at the Cape area. Time to start preparing, dont wait.

Time for another hurricane party for me down in o town. If nothing else these hurricanes have brought me and my neighbors closer together. I'm amazed that i have been living next to a person for 4 years and didnt even know her name until 2 weeks ago. Oh well guess its miller time on saturday

your not the only one whos a wreck we have a weekend house on palm island. The island is about 18 mi south of sanabelle. eek!

I too hope it misses us . We didn't have any damage from Charley , and hope the same from Frances . I wish every one the best with this next storm .
