I don't remember, but was the SOHC available in '96? Do you know if you have the OHV or SOHC? On my 1st gen OHV, the PCV valve is located in the driver's valve cover just below and forward of the vacuum tree at the rear of the upper intake manifold which should put it above and between cylinders 5 & 6. Not sure if it's the same on 2nd gen OHV's, and I have no idea where they put the PCV valve on SOHC's.
The PVC is located at the center most rear of the motor just below the plastic plemum. If you take the cover off the plastic top of the SOHC you can see it in the back of the motor next to the firewall. Be advised, some pcv valves have a zip tie the holds the valve in the rubber line. On the OHV version the PCV is located in the valve cover.
