Hello all, I have been reading the posts and what great info. I am(what I feel) a aerostar guy, I luv em.
I currently have an 89 XL 5 pass 3.0L 5speed. I have bought a 93 with a automatic and would like to remove it and overhaul the 5 speed and put it in the 93. I have a small trailer I tow, and I have alot more faith in a std xmision, and beleive it or not, my wife prefers it!
Has anyone done this??
does the engine computer need to be configured for a manual xmission somehow?
While I can't offer much advice, I am in a similar position and would like to change one of my 93's to a 5-spd for the reasons you mention. If you find any advice outside of this bboard, I would be interested in receiving it.
