Winch Installation

I want tips and oppinions on my idea to install my 12,000 lb MileMarker winch on my 90 Bronco. Ok my idea is as follows since I don't have enough money to buy a custom bumper:

Weld a peice of steel between the Frame on the font for the winch to sit on. The steel plate will rest on the bottom of the C- channel and bolt the winch to the steel and then weld it there as well. Then my friends suggested a cross member to keep the frame from twisting and my idea for this is right on the fron of the frame ends weld a strip of steel across and make a hole for the cable to run through. Then mount the roller fair lead to the stock bumper and make a slit in the bumper for the cable to run through it. Then cut the top of the bumper to show the winch and give enough room to access the clutch. then after all of the somehow hopefully there will be enough room to bolt the bumper back on without any or much resistance from the winch.

How does that sound? If you have any suggestions for me it would be much appreciated or any other ideas that would be great too.
