One fried minivan

OK so my over night stereo install wasnt the best idea, but heres what I did. Have my nice new pair of 15's and two 800 watt amps all hooked up to my new aiwa head unit read to slid in place the head unit when one of the connections touches the frame. With a sound that is indisribable and a bule flash, my van and system got shorted out. So now here I am with alot of fried equipment, and one fried van. now the van runs but thats all. Anything other than the motor that needs power dosnt work, and i mean nothing... you never no what you got till ist gone really. But right now it is under going a rewireing job. As for the system...... the head ni thas a unlimited warrenty and the box is still good but everything else is gone. Just thought id let you guys know so you could have a good laugh today. Very smart yes but im sure somthing good will come from this.

93'Aerostar XLT. Cherrybomb glasspack, dual 3" tip, K&N drop in, Super white blikers, fog lights, and headlights, Street Glow kit under it, mutiple neons inside, 1st van in Alababma Custom truck club, oh yeah i run a 11.5 1/8 and mid 16's on my 1/4.

Kind of like the sound and fury of jumper cables meeting?

Bummer! 800 watts does draw some serious power. Hopefully the majority of the fuses will have done their job.

Hey Paddy, what city do you live in? I'm from Huntsville. I think that I may have seen your van, nice job. Does yours have Alabama Custom Truck Club on the rear window?

Sweet, yeah I'm in huntsville. What does your van look like??? So I can spot it on the road. Thats cool didnt konw anyone had seen my van on here. Oh and I got my van looked at yesterday and I blew about every fuse in the thing but that was all other than the system that I now have temoprary replacement with 2, MTX 6000 10's and one 800 watt amp running off of an Aiwa HU. 2 100 watt pioneer 6x9's and 2 50 watt tweets. hooking most of it up today again..... hope i dont slip up again and mess it up. Well I'll keep you guys up to date on the system. Time to go play with it again.

I drive a red '90 Aerostar 3.0. It runs great but I think that I should have better acceleration so I am about to do a full tune up.
