Check around and see if you can find a set of airtanks off a Ford big truck (L-7000 or F700 etc) in a boneyard somewhere. They use 2 that are about 10"x18" and have a port on each end of the tanks. One port on each tank is to drain the water from the system. I had a set on my truck awhile back and run them off an A/C compressor. They are good to about 200 psi BTW they are not mounted together, on the trucks they are mounted 1 under each door.

Duane... 10" is a little to big. 6" maybe 7" will only work in the location that I want to mount them.

Brian ... Thanks I'll give them a shout tomorrow

OK ... I gave up trying to find one here locally. I broke down and ordered a Slim 5 gallon tank. I think I'll have enough room to mount it on the outside of my frame rail. I was hopping to have one by Friday so I could instal everything on Sunday but It looks like I might have to wait till next week to do it install it now.

For those of you who did not catch what I was wanting it for, I have a set of Buell Train horns that I am installing. I spent most of last Sunday fabricating a bracket so I could mount them (4 horns) behind my front bumper. Not a lot of room up there and it was a lot of trial and error trying to make the bracket just rite.

Today I recieved my Viair air pump. It is the kind that the guys use for their "Bagged" trucks. That thing is powerful and Chrome also! lol I can't wait to fire that thing up!

I am also thinking about mounting an extra line so I can inflate tires and stuff. Also I figure I can use it at work to run a few nailers for some of the smaller patch work jobs.

Anyways this the horns should be loud. The working pressure of them is 125 - 150 psi and I will be running 145. I plan on having a lot of fun with these things near the train tracks. You know blasting them at those people that go around the crosing arms when they are down, stuff like that. lol

Looks like I'll have to get a Video camera to get peoples reactions also lol .....
