My intrest in the 300-6 has peaked and I now feel compelled to build one. I would like to learn a bit more before starting my project and any help I can get from this forum would be greatly appreciated. I have a few questions.
1) What changes were made to the cylinder heads over the years, specifically with regard to valve size, combustion chamber size, and swirl characteristics?
2) Has anyone tried improving the rod/stroke ratio? If so, what rods-pistons-pins were used?
3) Has anyone done a mass-air conversion? If so, what was involved?
The 300 has a lot of potential as long as you don't try to make it turn outrageous RPMs. I really think the best place to ask is the 300 forum. There are some pretty sharp guys in there who might not visit the general performance section. Would you like me to move it for you?
