I was working to day cutting 2 3/8 and 2 7/8 tubing with a torch for a barn and for fence posts. then the guy showed up with a hydralic post driver on the back of a large tractor to drive the posts i was cutting. the tractor was on a large new gooseneck trailer and pulled by a new 2004 one ton dodge regular cab long bed cummins. the guy dropped the rams and started backing the tractor off. when the tractor hit the ramps the gooseneck hitch came apart at the adjustment where you can let the hitch up and down and set it with large set screw bolts. worst of all when it popped up the guy got scared and gunned the tractor. the trailer jumped out from under the tractor and right into the tailgate of the truck!!! pushed the truck forward a couple feet!!! really crunched the tailgate. interesting to watch though!!!
Thats gotta hurt! But at least it was a dodge, and not a ford. There's a dodge thats always parked on this one side street. The first day i saw it, i thought, oh, someone got a new truck.....then about a week later, the whole left side of the bed was crunched in like a tree fell on it, its been like that for about 3 months now. Now i'm thinking, Oh, someone doesnt have insurance!
I had a tree fall on my Mazda car out of the blue with no wind. My dad also was lifting a compactor with a tractor and hit the side of the bed of his Chevy... left a nice shiner but nothing really bad.
