Steering WHeel Removal

How do I pull the steering wheel off an 1989 F-150 XLT? I got the horn buttons/face off but can't get the steering wheel off the column. I don't have the special tool for it either and don't have the $$$$ to buy it. Help would be great.

i think advance or autozone will rent you the tool.

Whatever you do don't put one hand on each side with your face right in the middle of the wheel and pull. this could cause damage. Go to autozone and rent the puller.
