67-72 rear bumper?
Does anyone have suggestions on a new rear bumper for my '71 f100. What came stock and did they have step bumper option? I'm looking for a stock look. Also any good resources for me to get my truck back to a classic, stock look, like mirrors, paint colors, tire sizes, trim? Thanks

I think most of these pickups were ordered without any rear bumper. The dealer would then offer different styles to the buyer from his local suppliers (and make a little extra money). I may be wrong, but I do not think there is a "Standard" bumper.

My father bought my 71 F100 new. I still remember (after this post jogging my memory) asking pop why the back end looked funny while sitting on the car lot. he told me he had to pick out what style bumper to put on it.
So around NC anyway I'd say they came without a rear bumper.

I think 71swissaqua is correct...my 71 had a flat bumper as described, with a place to put a ball...I took it off and had a roll pan made...wish you were here, you could have mine......lol..it is too heavy to mail.....!
