Rear bumper brackets

Anyone have a picture of where the stock bumper brackets attach? I just removed the large step bumper and plan to install the normal stock bumber. I have the bumper but no brackets, plan to find some someplace but want to know aht i'm looking for and where they bolt to the truck.

Thanks.

Well, i meant where they attach on the truck for the pics. Guess maybe it will be self explanitory if i had a set. I don't really want to spend $100 for them though. rather get a set free, cheap used or trade for items on my truck i'm selling. Thanks for the help though. Never looked at truck shop before.

Good luck with the cheap or free. With my truck it wouldn't take long to spend $100 in gas driving around looking for brackets for free. I don't think these brackets are that common. I haven't put mine on yet so I don't have pics but there are pre-drilled holes in the frame that they bolt into.

The one i took off was a sliding step bumper for a camper. i'm sure it will not be too hard to figure it out. I'll probably try the scrap yard here.

I'll see if I can give you some idea of what they look like using a pic from Keystone63's truck and you can reference the pic of the brackets in the catalog from the previous post....

There are 2 bracket pieces per side. They bolt to the outside of the frame rails through 2 holes that are drilled at the factory. The larger piece kinda resembles the frame horns on the front of the 64-66 trucks. The upper & lower bolts closest to the license plate bolt to this part of the bracket. The other part of the bracket is a curved strap that bolts to the bracket on the frame and to the upper outside bolt on the bumper. Hope that helps a little. Good luck at the salvage yard.

If I pull my brackets out of the box before too long, I'll snap some pics for ya. In the meantime, post some pics of your truck. We like pics!

Fits: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD Styleside / 1966 F100 4WD Styleside / 1967/72 F100/350 Styleside.

Use with painted (C4TZ17906A) or chrome (C4TZ17906B) contoured rear bumper.

These two rear bumpers were also used on 1973/79 F250 4WD Stylesides, but the brackets are not the same.

Pics posted. I will have to take some new ones. It has new wheels, a replacement tailgate and the big rear bumper is gone. Just need to add the stock chrome one i have. Wish it was a painted one to match the front but in time...I might replace the front with a chrome one.
