My check engine light came on this morning. I read the code and it is excessive EGR flow. So I went and got a new DPFE sensor and I go to put it in and I see the mounting studs but there is no sensor, electrical connector, or vacuum lines that are not connected. Is this possible?? Am I missing something?? Any comments or suggestions. It is a 2001 4.6L F150 supercrew with 37500 miles.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Find the EGR pipe that runs from the driver's side exhaust manifold up to the EGR valve. Off of there are 2 hoses that run up to the DPFE sensor.
Anyone here want to take a picture of their's and post it for cougs?

 

I have a different style of DPFE sensor than the one they sold me. I will go back and get the other type from the dealer. Thanks for your help.
