Did I Mess Up???
I got an '80 f-100 with I-6 and t-18. Found an np435 for $60, it was mounted behind either a 360 or 390. Will the np mount to my I-6 bellhousing?
Just to be sure I have what I think I have here are the numbers that are on the transmission,
On top; a gear looking symbol with np in the middle
also a wagon wheel with 68 in the middle
On passenger side of trans; cast in housing C-96391-S
On a metal tag; C9TA 7003AA FL6
Also on metal tag; 3 24 69 435

You didn't mention that the T-18 was bad. Depending on the T-18 you have, your 435 may have a much lower 1st gear (Granny gear) than you have now.
This may not be a problem- since most drive the 18 & 435 like a 3-spd starting off in 2nd gear.
